Your home is your refuge, and we know how hard you work to make sure it is a welcoming, safe place. In this encore episode of Drop of Inspiration, we’re bringing back our past conversation with Young Living’s training and education manager for North America, Haley Jensen. She gives us the scoop on why we should make the switch to naturally derived cleaners such as Young Living Thieves Cleaner, how to make cleaning easier, and a few of her favorite DIY natural household cleaners—including a way to use essential oils for toilet bowls that you won’t want to be without.

    What about Marble countertops?

      Hi Dee,

Thanks for listening to Drop of Inspiration! This is what we have in our FAQS:

“Thieves Household Cleaner is very versatile and safe to use on most non-porous surfaces when diluted appropriately. This includes stainless steel, tile, glass, varnished wood surfaces, and more! Surfaces like granite and marble are not always non-porous and should be tested in an inconspicuous area first. We recommend not using Thieves Household Cleaner on vinyl or very soft plastic.”

So, make sure to test a small amount first in an inconspicuous area.

      Thanks again for stopping by!

You suggested rubbing alcohol as a cleaning supply. I would suggest if you are going more natural safer products, vodka is better or if where you purchase alcoholic beverages carries it, grain alcohol.

    Thank you!

Is there a transcript of this? I thought I saw one once, but probably just crazy. I take notes on all the podcasts, but wanted to know if there’s an easier way. 🙂

I mixed and used my Thieves cleaner, for the first time, yay! While cleaning, I sprayed the cleaner on my husband’s laptop case, yikes. It made it sticky. I think the case is made of silicone or plastic. Any ideas how to get rid of the sticky? Did the cleaner remove the top layer of the finish off?
