Set the cold dark days aside, let in the light and enjoy some well-deserved me-time. Rest, replenish and restore with your favourite Young Living essential oils. It’s time to run a bath, turn on the diffuser and indulge in some self-care. Learn how to appreciate yourself with these simple suggestions.

Slow down

Modern life can feel hectic at the best of times. Instead of long to-do lists and lengthy commutes, how about stepping back and taking a moment to yourself. Embrace the here and now and say no to living on autopilot and yes to more me-time! Essential oils are an easy way to transform everyday routines, for more blissful moments, experiencing the beauty of the little things in life that give you joy.

Try: Put a drop of Sacred Mountain™ essential oil blend onto your fingertips, taking in the ylang ylang and conifer oils, and gently massage into temples. Breathe in and out deeply, letting your worries melt away.

The perfect pamper

It may not quite be sandal-wearing season but make sure to give your feet some tender loving care year-round. Put your best foot forward and pamper yourself with a foot soak using your favourite Young Living essential oils.

Try: At-Home Foot Soak

Ingredients:

  • 100g Epsom salt
  • 2 drops Copaiba essential oil
  • 2 drops Spearmint essential oil
  • Warm water

Directions:

  1. Mix the Epsom salt and essential oils in a small bowl.
  2. Add the salt mixture to warm water.
  3. Sit back, relax and let your feet soak for 15–30 minutes.

Care and connect

Embrace JOMO (the Joy of Missing Out) by switching off social media and emails, finding more time to care and connect to yourself and loved ones. Cooking a healthy meal, walking outside or simply catching up with a friend are a few suggestions.

Try: Close the laptop and crack open a fresh new book, getting warm and snuggly under duvet covers. Diffuse some Stress Away™ and transform your bedroom into a calm spa-like sanctuary, filled with fresh lime and vanilla scents.

Enjoy dessert

Who doesn’t love desserts and little indulgences from time to time? Young Living’s Plus oil range of culinary essential oils can be added to your desserts for a flavourful kick, minus the calories. Start with some of our most popular choices such as zesty Lemon+, Orange+ or spicy Cinnamon Bark+.

Try: For a burst of fruity flavour, add Tangerine+ essential oil to your water and you’ll be good to go! Or how about filling your home with delightful sweet scents, using our special dessert-scented diffuser blends.

Get some fresh air

Staying in while it’s cold? Despite this instinct, going outside, getting some fresh air and connecting to nature may be just the thing you need. Shinrin-yoku or better known as “forest bathing” comes from Japan and involves taking gentle walks in forests, helping to reconnect with nature.

Try: Before going outside, add a drop of Hinoki essential oil onto your wrists for an earthy, energising aroma. Coming from one of the ‘Five Sacred Trees of Kiso,’ this oil is steam distilled and is native to Japan.

Enjoy the simple things

Unwind when you get home by playing your favourite music. Let the notes wash over you, creating a relaxing evening routine you can look forward to. Diffuse, spray or add a drop of Young Living essential oil to your pulse points to help you pause and fully disconnect.

Try: Why not add a few drops of Peace & Calming® essential oil blend to a spray bottle filled with water, spritzing it above your pillow. Enjoy the subtle sweet scent of ylang ylang, orange, tangerine, patchouli and blue tansy essential oils for an easy bedtime ritual you’ll come back to.
