Lehi, Utah – July 30, 2019 – Young Living Essential Oils, the world leader in essential oils, announced today that the Ningxia Wolfberry Farm and Distillery in Ningxia, China, will become the company’s newest partner farm. The farm has had a longstanding relationship with YL and Young Living Founder D. Gary Young and will provide the company with the wolfberries, wolfberry puree, and wolfberry seed oil important in its popular NingXia Red line and other products.
The Ningxia Province is in central China and covers about 25,000 square miles. The significant irrigation from the Yellow River supports the production of wolfberries, the star of Young Living’s popular NingXia Red line.
When Gary Young encountered nutrient-dense wolfberries over 23 years ago, he knew he had to share this superfruit with the wider world. By combining Ningxia wolfberries, superfruit extracts, and essential oils, Gary created YL’s proprietary NingXia Red. This delicious beverage has made its way into homes of members across the globe and has expanded into an entire line of NingXia Red products.
Young Living is the only essential oil company to have its own farms. By sourcing 100 percent of its oils from corporate-owned farms, partner farms, and Seed to Seal®-certified suppliers, Young Living has total visibility of the production of its oils—from seeding and cultivating to harvesting and distilling.
“Wherever Young Living plants its roots, we build partnerships with companies that value the local community, environment, and botanicals as much as we do,” said Lauren Walker, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Young Living Essential Oils. "The Ningxia Wolfberry Farm and Distillery
is committed to Young Living’s standards of excellence. Their dedication to sustainable growing practices aligns with our5×5 Pledge,
allowing us to continue to provide pure products to homes across the world.”
Young Living is thrilled about its new partnership with the Ningxia Wolfberry Farm and Distillery, a farm that follows the company’s strict Seed to Seal quality commitment. This is Young Living’s second partner farm this year, bringing the company one step closer to its 5×5 Pledge goal of developing at least five corporate-owned or partner farms in 2019.
