Budapest is easy to navigate, with efficient public transport and pedestrian-friendly city streets. Here’s how to get from A to B with ease: 

Metro (Underground)

Fast, clean, and simple to use.

• Lines: M1, M2, M3, M4

• Operating hours: 4:30 am – 11:30 pm

• Ideal for quick trips across central Budapest

• Clear signage in Hungarian + English

Trams

A scenic way to explore the city above ground.

• Very frequent

• Lines 4 & 6 run 24/7

• Perfect for sightseeing along the river and boulevards

Buses

An extensive network, including routes that stop directly at Hungexpo.

Taxis / Bolt

• Bolt is the most reliable (similar to Uber)

• Taxis are fine if booked via an app – avoid hailing on the street

Walking
