Pros of Progesterone

6 October 27, 2011 - Archive

young living progessence plusProgesterone is a hormone found in both men and women that is generally associated with women’s health. It plays an important role in influencing menstrual cycles, pregnancy, and menopause. Genetic makeup, environmental influences, and other factors can negatively impact progesterone levels, which may lead to other imbalances in the body.

Progessence™ Plus serum, intended only for woman, is a good option for those looking to supplement progesterone levels. Expertly formulated by D. Gary Young and Dr. Dan Purser, Progessence Plus takes pure, USP-grade, super-micronized progesterone from wild yams and combines it with vitamin E and an essential oil serum to easily penetrate the skin for improved delivery. Containing Frankincense Oil, Bergamot Oil, and Peppermint Oil to aid in absorption, this product does not require the cycling of application sites as do most other progesterone products.

According to Dr. Purser, some of the common negative effects of menopause that adequate levels of progesterone can help support or minimize include:

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Increased wrinkles
  • Weight gain and muscle loss (sarcopenia)
  • Memory issues

For the remainder of the year, until December 31, Young Living is running a promotion for 10% off Progessence Plus serum. If you have ever thought about adding progesterone to your routine, now is the time to do it! As always, we would love to hear your feedback on Progessence Plus.

My daughter had a miscarriage and is now pregnant again is it safe for her to use progressence plus while she’s pregnant to help her keep this pregnancy? Her levels of progesterone get very low and we believe that’s why she miscarried so I thought this would help, but there is a lot of controversy on this oil.. I’d appreciate any feedback
    Thank you

I have stopped birth control on March 1 and have not used this product yet. I’d like to use it for fertility. When can I start? Also if I use it on my face for skin support should I not use it on my forearms or neck?

    • Young Living March 23, 2017 - 12:05 pm Reply

Hi Shane, We recommend following the usage directions for Progessence Plus which state, ‘Apply 2-4 drops 2 times daily on neck area. For added effect, apply 1-2 drops along forearms 2 times daily. Do not exceed 2 applications per day.’ If you have further concerns, please consult with your healthcare provider before beginning use of the product. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

I am back to being very moody, not sleeping well, some hot flashes again. I’m trying to find the right hormone essential oil to help with these symptoms. Is this the one? Or should I look at a different one for the above symptoms? Please help
