DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Sales Department is charged with delivering high quality sales initiatives to support business-driven leaders. Key efforts are focused around supporting recruitment, retention, recognition, rewards, and events whilst adhering to the Young Living Brand and global strategy. The department ensures that Young Living sales tools, resources, message, and mechanisms meet the needs of our members which in turn meet or exceed corporate expectations for growth.

JOB PURPOSE

Oversee the Sales Department to ensure that Young Living cultivates and increases field leadershipby implementing innovative sales strategies and initiatives. Increase field acquisition, field retention, Autoship participation, and gross revenue. Implement world class product and opportunity training resources, expertise, systems, programs and tools in order to maximize the expansion and development of our European sales force within timeframe and budget. To manage effectively the Sales personnel and all related projects and external resources.

RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

Management responsibility for 5 Regional Country Managers and 1Events Manager

Reports to: Managing Director

Budgetary/financial framework: Responsible for setting and managing budgets for the Sales Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and implementation of a European sales business plan
Manage the European sales operations in line with the companies strategic goals to grow sales and market share
Identification of members needs and high growth areas/trends to target sales support programmes
Development of recruitment and retention programs to build member base and loyalty, increase retention rate and member productivity levels
Lead, motivate and performance manage the Sales Team. Oversee the hiring of personnel in the department
Preparation and controlling of annual budget
Protection of the companies’ assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Recommendation and implementation of continuous improvement strategies
Submission of reports and analysis and other duties and responsibilities that may be required for special projects
General
Attendance at Young Living events and meetings throughout the European market as required
Travels frequently to region to help build rapport with members, host meetings, and conduct training.
Assist in developing training materials and sales tools and deliver Train the Trainer material.
Assist Marketing in the formulation, development, and execution of marketing campaigns.
Contribute fully as a member of the Executive Management Team
Undertake other duties and tasks that from time to time may be allocated to the jobholder that are appropriate to the grade of the job
Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection etc, and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook.

MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education/Qualifications/Training:

Degree Educated (BA/BSc Hons), in sales/ marketing/business management or equivalent

Specific Experience:

Required

Experienced Sales Director / Manager with proven success within an MLM environment across Europe
Extensive knowledge of the local markets and the ability to respond aggressively to changing market trends and competition to leverage new market opportunities
Entrepreneurial spirit and strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, including conflict management skills.
Motivated leader with excellent people management skills, time management and organisational skills
Experience using Social Media platforms within business strategy
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Another European language would be advantageous
