Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cover.
  3. Cook until onions are soft but not brown (about 5–6 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 2–3 minutes. Clumping is okay.
  5. Slowly add broth, whisking constantly to smooth out any lumps.
  6. Add cumin, chiles, salt, and jalapeno and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to low and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sauce should coat spoon but still drip off.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in Vitality oils.

  10. For a smoother consistency, blend sauce in a food processor or blender.

Hey there! Just trying this recipe today and I’m not seeing what I’m supposed to do with the cilantro. Is it just to top the finished enchiladas with? Or am I supposed to stir it into the sauce?

    • Hello Tanya. We suggest to using the cilantro as a garnish on top of the enchiladas. Sorry if that was not clear in the recipe. We will have that corrected. Thanks for pointing that out!

I’ve been told that the Vitality and the non-Vitality equivalent of oils are identical and that, for legal purposes, YL has to create to both labels because a product can be labeled for EITHER internal use OR topical use, but not both.

So, what I am asking you to verify is this: are the Vitality and non-Vitality equivalent of the oils identical or not?

Thanks! I appreciate getting a clear answer on this!

Hi Susan, The Vitality line of oils is the same 100% therapeutic-grade essential oils for which Young Living has become known. The Vitality line has been created so that members can now draw clear distinction between topical/aromatic use and dietary use. This should drastically widen the communication opportunities for Young Living essential oils moving forward. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

  • Hi Susan, As Black Pepper, Oregano and Lime are labeled for aromatic/topical use, it is recommended to use the Vitality essential oils for dietary use or cooking. Please refer to the individual product label for usage directions.

I do not have any vitality products yet. I do have the regular Blacck Pepper, Oregano and and lime oils. Can I use those?
