When it’s time to recover from a long day, it’s best to climb into bed with a fresh face. Scrubbing with ineffective or harsh removers can do more damage than good though, especially near the sensitive eye area where the skin is thinner and more prone to fine lines and irritation.

your posting is very nice and useful matter. thank u
I love this recipe except wondering if you can use vegetable glycerine instead of v6
Can i use aloe vera instead of witch hazel?
Hey Alice! Good question, you could try it, but the witch hazel helps keep the solution mixed together, and aloe vera wouldn’t have quite the same function. Hope that helps!
I replace filtered water with Aloe Vera liquid seems to work very well!
Can I use grape seed oil or sesame seed oil for this recipe for a mature skin type?
Can I use coconut oil in place of V-6?
Hi Bethany, You can use coconut oil in place of V-6 if you would like. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

Just made these and I love them! I also added tea tree oil to mine. Thank you for the recipe YL.
Where do you find alcohol free witch hazel? I have asked two different pharmacy's and neither had heard of it.
Hey Patricia,
You can find alcohol-free witch hazel at many major retail stores (e.g. Target, Walmart, etc.) You can also find it online. Thanks for stopping by!
This recipe really stings my eyes when using to get rid of eye make-up. Is it the witch hazel in it? Can I just leave it out?
Try using alcohol-free witch hazel, or reducing the amount.
Could you use also other hydrolates like Lavender, Helichrysum, Clary Sage, etc... instead of Witch Hazel? Just wondering, because here Witch Hazel isn't very common... And I would love to recommend also the Hydrolates from YL :-)
Thanks!
Hi Simone, Great question. You are welcome to try a hydrosol in place of witch hazel if you choose. However, we are unable to guarantee results as we have not tested this recipe with various substitutions. Thanks for stopping by!
