  • Hi Sharon, Every animal is different, so carefully observe how each animal responds to the oils. Our Thieves Household Cleaner was formulated to be safely used around children and pets, including cats! Great question, and thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Danelle, Tea Tree, or Melaleuca Alternifolia, can be safely used around dogs. As every dog is different we would suggest diffusing small amounts for short periods of time (5 minutes every 1-3 times daily) and observing how the dog responds before increasing the amount and time. If you have further concerns, we recommend that your friend seeks the advice of a Vet who has knowledge and experience with EO's use on dogs for more targeted advice. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Marsha, Because Young Living’s products are not labeled to be used as drugs, they are not intended for use in the treatment or cure of disease or any abnormal function of an animal’s body, including ailments or injuries for your animal. Therefore, Young Living cannot provide advice or recommendation for products to address seizures. We advise that you consult with a veterinarian on your specific issue. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Ruth, Cats have a much higher sensitivity and are more adverse to high phenol oils. As humans bodies differ from person to person, so do cats differ from cat to cat. Some may be especially adverse to Thieves and Christmas Spirit, while others are not bothered by it being diffused. We recommend wearing it on you while determining how yours react before diffusing for long periods of time. Thieves oil in the cleaner is much more diluted, and should be safe for all your family and animal babies. However if you have any concerns, reach out to a Veterinarian who has experience with EO's and cats. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Crystal! We do recommend diluting when using essential oils with horses. We also recommend diluting in a spray bottle with water to ensure that the oil is diluted and for easier application. When using essential oils with animals, it is always good to start slow when introducing essential oils and usage. Each horse may have different sensitivities to different oils. If you have concerns about Tea Tree causing an irritation, or burning with your horse, reach out to a Veterinarian who has experience with EO's and horses. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Alicia! You can absolutely diffuse some oils around cats. You just want to follow the guidelines on this blog, and the ones you can also find on this blog, EO's for Pets Quick How To. You always want to introduce them slowly, and avoid high phenol oils. If you have any specific concerns, reach out to a veterinarian that has experience with Essential Oils with pets. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Kate, We do not recommend using Essential Oils on puppies. We would suggest conferring with a Veterinarian who has experience with Essential Oils prior to using the Ointment on your puppies as well, for more targeted advise. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Debby! As we recommend using extreme caution around birds and do not recommend diffusing near birds, we would advise speaking to a competent, trained veterinarian with knowledge and experience with essential oils use on or around birds PRIOR to use for targeted advice. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hi Leah!
