  • I would like to see more "recipes" simply using thieves oil. I don't always have thieves cleaner on hand, but I never allow myself to be out of Thieves oil! Also why doesn't EO stain clothing when used in the laundry? TIA. I lobe thieves EO!!

    • Hi Linda, There shouldn't be any staining associated with the oils in the Thieves® Laundry Soap. Please rest assured that the oils are at a very low percentage and they should not come out of solution to leave residue or staining on clothing.

  • Good morning! I see where you can "Pin" this article to Pinterest, but would you please consider a way for those of us who don't 'do' Pinterest (gasp!) to print it out for future reference? I see so many of these that I would like to save in a book, but no way to print them off.

Thank you; have a great day!

  • Hi I have marble floors and natural stone in my bathroom. Is thieves safe to use on this kind of material?

    Thank you in advance

    • I've been using the recipe for sink and counter, on my marble in the bathroom for over a year and I've had no issues. The cleaner works like a champ!

    • Hi Susan, The Thieves® Household Cleaner is safe at a 15;1 dilution or higher for most non-porous surfaces. We suggest performing a small spot test in an inconspicuous location before using the product on the entire surface. If the surface appears porous, we would encourage you to use another product that may be better suited to the surface.

  • Regarding the thieves cleaner. While it comes in a plastic bottle, I've heard it needs to be in a glass bottle. Any thoughts on this?

    • Hi Stacie, The plastic used in packaging our products including the sprays and Thieves® Household Cleaner is high-end plastics that are formulated to be able to hold the essential oils and retain safety. In addition, the essential oils included in the products are not potent enough to damage the plastic packaging. Please be assured, we strive to use the best products and packaging based on the products and their use.

We do not recommend storing undiluted essential oils in plastic containers. Using essential oils and essential oil products safely in conjunction with plastic containers depends highly on the type of plastic, the concentration of essential oils, and the amount of time the oils are stored in the container or the amount of time the essential oils come in contact with the plastic parts.

  • I have a granddaughter with peanut and tree nut allergies so we are extremely cautious before using new items in our home. Does the Thieves Household Cleaner contain any peanut or tree nut products (such as almond oil)?

    • Hi Terri, The Thieves® Household Cleaner does not contain any ingredients derived from nuts. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

    • Hi Julia, Thieves Laundry Soap can be used in all washers, including high-efficiency ones. Thanks for stopping by!

  • I have been using way too much. I bet that bottle will last longer now, but I have to say my house smells amazing when I use it.

  • I have engineered hardwood floors. We just finished a complete kitchen remodel. I need to clean my floors and want to use Thieves. Could I use the same recipe as the one for wooden cabinets? Has anyone mopped wood floors with Thieves?

    • Hi Gina, We feel that there would probably be no effects on the hardwood floor, but we recommend doing a spot test in an inconspicuous location before cleaning the entire floor. You may also want to contact the manufacturer for any information on the finish that may interact negatively with Thieves Household Cleaner. Thanks for stopping by with your question!
