More than 20 years ago, Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young visited the Provence region of France to learn about an exciting natural wellness solution: essential oils. This year, the 20th anniversary of Young Living’s founding, Gary led some of our high-achieving Diamond members on a tour of France as part of the Diamond Retreat, a visit that retraced much of his original journey of discovery.
The retreat kicked off on August 17 in Nice, France, where attendees enjoyed a welcome reception with Gary and Mary Young and other Young Living executives.
After the group’s stay in Nice, Gary treated attendees to a personal tour of the Simiane region, including a stop at the Young Living farm in Simiane-la-Rotonde. There, attendees helped with the einkorn grain harvest, and made a visit to the area’s thousand-year-old castle, which is now a Young Living visitor center.
This part of southern France, celebrated for its natural beauty, is also personally significant to Gary, as it is here that he developed much of his understanding of the essential oils that have changed countless lives. The retreat finished with a two-day sightseeing stay in Paris.
