20 Years of Young Living Quality

Over 20 years ago, Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young purchased Young Living’s first herb farm in St. Maries, Idaho, and established a tradition of quality that has not since wavered. Today each of our six farms is dedicated exclusively to our proprietary Seed to Seal® process.

In the Seed to Seal process, we rigorously monitor each essential oil, from the time we plant carefully chosen seeds to the time these botanicals are distilled and sealed in our state-of-the-art facilities. Additionally, each oil undergoes thorough internal and third-party testing to ensure that each drop exceeds even our industry-leading standards. Because of this painstaking approach, our essential oils are known across the globe for being the highest quality available.

Young Living Quality Facts

The brand-new distillery at our Highland Flats Tree Farm in Idaho is one of the largest and most technologically advanced facilities in the world. Fully automated, this distillery efficiently produces some of our most popular essential oils, including Idaho Blue Spruce.
Each spring and winter we invite our members from around the globe to spend from several days to several weeks at our farms to participate in harvesting and replanting efforts and see the Seed to Seal process in action. Our replanting events are just one example of our ongoing sustainability efforts.
The St. Maries, Idaho, farm was purchased by Gary in 1992 and had never been exposed to synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and other harmful chemicals. We work hard to maintain this pristine state.
Chemically distinct from other types of frankincense, Young Living’s exclusive Sacred Frankincense essential oil is distilled at our Salalah, Oman, farm through a partnership with the Omani government. Young Living is the only company with permission to export this precious essential oil.
