SPOTLIGHT

MICHELLE LAU, ASSISTANT MANAGER, PRODUCT TRAINING & EDUCATION
Why did you choose Young Living?
I’ve always wanted to explore emotional wellness in my career as a holistic wellness advocate, and Young Living happened to have a product education vacancy. I’m really particular with the company and the quality of their products since I’ll be the one educating people on them. After some research and digging, I concluded that this company would be the best place to learn from and expand my experience in aromatherapy and wellness. Not just because Young Living is the pioneer, but more importantly, the company upholds their product integrity with their Seed to Seal commitment for over 27 years. And now it looks like I’ve made the right decision.
What are your favorite essential oils?
I love most of the tree oils because they are really calming yet energizing. My all-time favorites are Northern Lights Black Spruce, Copaiba, Sacred Mountain, and One Heart.
What is your current role and what are your responsibilities?
I’m a Product Trainer where I provide product training and educational support to our customers. My responsibility is to make science easy, make learning fun and enjoyable, and advocate on a mindfully clean and holistic lifestyle. Best thing about this job is that I get to play with all new products and tools before everyone else (#Yassss).
Who do you most admire in life?
My mom. She is my wonder woman. She might be petite in size, but she has the biggest heart of all. She taught me to be fearless in chasing what I believe is right, and to always see the good in everything, be it a situation or a person. She’s the person who taught me to love what I do and do what I love. “Let all you do be done with love,” is her life motto.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn how to roast my own coffee beans and brew my own cup of coffee #BeansToCups. Oh, and latte art skill would be great too because it just makes coffee look so aesthetically pleasing, although I only take my coffee black.
If you could live as an animal for a day, which animal would you be and why?
My doggie because he is living my dream life – eat, snack, daydream, sleep, repeat. I’m also curious about what’s on his mind. He seems to be deep in thought all the time when he’s looking out the window.
