    • Hi Yvonne, You may add 1-2 drops of Lemon Vitality™ to every 8 ounces of water to taste. It is recommended to use a glass or stainless steel bottle. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

  • I drink water with Lemon Vitality often. I know I can use the lemon Vitality in a glass container, but can it be used in a ceramic mug? I'd like to add it to my tea???

    • Hi Dana, Ceramic is a fantastic alternative when a glass container is not available for using the Vitality oils in your drink!

  • Has anyone used lemon oil in place of lemon zest in a recipe? If so, what is the substitution?

    • Hi Samantha, Great question! We recommend starting out with small amounts of oil and then increasing the amount according to your own taste. For juice or zest of one citrus fruit we recommend 10-15 drops of oil.

  • How come in the basic starter kit the uses are different than in the product guide? For example, the lemon essential oil on the sheet (the sheet with the 10 or so essential oils) says dietary, but in the product guide it says diffuse and/or topically? Do you know what I am talking about?

What is the difference between vitality and the normal lemon? It doesn't specify in the product guide.

    • Hello Chelsea, Excellent questions! Young Living® had recently made some changes to the instruction panel on our essential oil labels. These changes where made to align our labels with FDA regulations that state a product cannot be labeled for use as a dietary supplement AND for topical or aromatic use, both could not be on the same label.

In compliance with these regulations, our essential oils have been displaying labels that distinguish the products intended as a dietary supplement and those intended to be used for topical application or aromatic use. This labeling did not reflect any changes to the constituents or benefits of our essential oils. With that being said the Vitality line of oils is the same 100% therapeutic-grade essential oils for which Young Living has become known. The Vitality line has been created so that members can now draw clear distinction between topical/aromatic use and dietary use. Please always refer to the individual product labels for appropriate usage directions.

    • Hello Kenneth, we recommend following the operation instructions listed in your diffuser manual. Similar units have suggested 8-10 drops, however it can be adjusted to personal preference. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

  • Is lemon oil safe for ingestion? I have been mixing a drop with water. The product book indicates it's meant for topical use and diffusing.

    • Due to fda regulations it makes it hard for essential oil companies to say certain things especially publicly..both are essentially the same thing but due to fda rules they are not allowed to represent a topical/aromatic oil for dietry use...its the same oil different label so if youre worried you're ingesting something that will hurt you or is unsafe the answer is no

    • Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your question. Lemon essential oil is labeled for aromatic or topical use. However, our Lemon Vitality can be added to a tall glass of cold water for a refreshing drink during your day. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Norma, You may add 1-2 drops of Lemon Vitality™ to every 8 ounces of water to taste. Thanks for stopping by with your question.

    • Hi Korin! Yes, you can place Lemon in the diffuser, as it is labeled for both topical and aromatic uses. Thanks for stopping by!

  • I haven't tried it yet, but I read where lady bugs do not like the scent of lemon and that you can make your own natural repellent with it. Time to figure out a mixture and experiment!

    • Why would you EVER want to repel ladybugs? They are one of the best insects to have in gardens and yards. They eat the bad insects that can attack your plants.
Ladybugs lay hundreds of eggs in the colonies of aphids and other plant-eating pests. When they hatch, the ladybug larvae immediately begin to feed on the BAD insects.

  • Hello and Good morning, I love my Lemon oil. I use one drop in my mother's milk tea and I also use one drop in my water from time to time. It smells amazing and I love it!
