  • hil I work in the daycare that is full of infants 12 months and over to 2 years old. would it be safer to use Essential oils from Young living to diffuse for these little ones

We also suggest diffusing a small amount of essential oil for short periods of time until you have determined if the children have any sensitivity to diffusing as each child is different.   • Can essential oils be mixed in coconut oil and be used as a lotion? And what is the ratio for such? And also could be used for self with same mix and sugar for a shower scrub and be ok? Mommies need tlc too :)

    • Hi, I've recently started making my 3 year old skin cream with essential oils. I used 1/3 cup coconut oil, 1/3 cup cetaphil moisturizing cream, 13 drops of lavendar, 13 drops or tea tree, and 5 drops of frankincense. And make sure you mix and store it in a glass container! She is doing really well with it, I'm sure for an adult you can add more oils than that, probably 20:20:10 Hope this gave you an idea!

  • Can I run a shower with a few drops of Eucalyptus to steam room and sit on toilet with 3 month old? Would not put on him - just run hot water.

  • hello. In regards to using a diffuser and essential oils for a newborn (11.5 week old) - what is the ratio I should use? I have a 120ML diffuser - so maybe 1 drop, but make sure its in a large open room? I just want to be as cautious as possible.

However, due to the extreme sensitivities of children and the fact that individual reactions will vary, we do not have a list of specific oils that can/cannot be used with children available to provide. We suggest consulting a health care provider to determine what is right for your children. We recommend referring to the individual label directions for any age restrictions as well. Essential oils should be diluted for use on children. We suggest using a patch test procedure prior to ensure the oil is properly diluted for the child. To perform a patch test, apply 1-2 drops of EO to a patch of skin such as the forearm.
