  • Hi..I've just knitted a toy for my friend's newborn. Would it be safe to 'sprinkle' essential oils into it so the stuffing smells of lavender, for example?

We do recommend extreme caution when using essential oils for infants due to the sensitivities of children and the fact that individual reactions will vary.     • Hello Judy, We encourage you to consult with your health care provider to ensure that your infant and yourself would not have any sensitivities to essential oils or essential oil products when breastfeeding.
      It should be okay to use some oils topically, however use them in very small amounts and use them in locations that would not come into contact with your infant (unless otherwise directed by your health care provider).

  • Is it safe to use diluted 1:8 tummygize on a 5 month having extreme amounts of spit up? I have searched everywhere for a answer to this.

    • Hi Melissa, Through our research and skin sensitivity testing, we have determined that the oils are suitable for direct application on children ages 2-12, as directed on the product labels. However, every person has unique sensitivities. For those new to essential oils, we suggest testing the oil on a small location before applying it to the desired area. We also recommend having a carrier oil, such as V-6, close by in case additional dilution is required for the individual child.   • A hot water burn on a 2 month old who is hospitalized and wrapped up...what is the best way to support the infants immune system with essential oils? Would it be in the diffuser? Could some highly diluted oils go on his feet ?

    • I don't know when this happened I didn't see a date but I heard that Burdock leaves along with a honey sad that is called B & W works great for burns on children. I used it for my daughter and it's the mildest thing you can do for a burn. The leaf causes the skin to heal the inside out by gently removing the burnt skin and growing new skin.
