    • Hi Lynn, the size would depend on what size container you decided to add the recipe to. We recommend a deodorant size or large lip balm. It will be personal preference. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hello Melinda. We have not tried a recipe using anything to replace the washing soda. However, you can try and look online to find another replacement. Sorry we couldn't be of more help, but if you do find a great replacement when experimenting, please let us know. Thanks!

  • This recipe makes a lot more than what fills one deodorant container. It looks like it would fill at least 4. The directions should be modified.

    • Hello Jennifer. Thanks for your suggestion. The recipe depends on the size of the container you use, but this advice will be helpful to others making it with smaller containers. Thanks for stopping by!

  • This is quite impressive since it's a DIY stuff. I'll definitely try making it so I can test it out. Good work in sharing this post.

    • Hi Sarah, Thieves® Household Cleaner can be used in your washing machine. Depending on the size of the washer, use 1-2 capfuls of Thieves® Household Cleaner with each batch. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

  • Hey, so the recipe says 2 T Thieves Laundry Soap but the video says 1/2 C Thieves Laundry Soap. Can you share which one is the actual measurement?

    • Hello Tina. The recipe and the video now both say 1/2 cup. There was a mistake when it was first posted, but it was immediately remedied, but we are so sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Thanks for stopping by and let us know how it turns out for you!

  • Looking forward to making and sharing this recipe with other oilers. Stain sticks are just a necessary part of the laundry, so it will be great to try this. Thanks!!

  • I actually just used a drop of yl lemon eo tonight. Needed to get out a grease stain on my hoodie before i put it in the washing machine. Worked like a charm!

  • I love this idea. Thank you for sharing. A question on the label though. I thought we were not 'allowed' to put Young Living on DIY products. Just want to be compliant here. Thank you for feedback.

    • Pam, we appreciate your concern of wanting to remain compliant. You are awesome! In this case you are fine to use the labels that we provide in our DIYs, as long as you do not sell the products and make them out to be made by Young Living. Hope that helps!
