I started using Castor oil for evening skin tone. I do this at bedtime and also use the castor oil for my eyelashes, applied to the base of the eyelash. I don't use mascara much so this seems to do the trick. I also use a blend of oils for moisturizing my skin under my day cream. I think I will try switching the base to sweet almond oil though and maybe add frankincense. I just love experimenting and seeing what works. I experiment on my kids too.
I'm new to YL and read the plethora of fabulous responses on the different oils and usage including recipes. All sounds sublime! What is the ART KIT? Is this a kit made up of oils specifically for skin and hair? TY!
Hi Sharon, We would be happy to direct you to the Young Living site for more information on our NEW ART Skin Care System. Thanks for stopping by!
Is it too much for my face, I am 30, to be using witch hazel and a couple drops of tea tree on a cotton round every day? Sometimes twice a day?
Hello Erin. Great question! It depends on your skin. I would maybe try it once a day to start, and then see how if effects your skin. Then you can move up to twice a day if you like the results. You always want to make sure your skin is properly hydrated. Hope that helps!
For oily, red irritated skin, I love hempseed oil with frankincense. I rarely see it mentioned, but is a go to of mine!
I've been adding Orange EO to my oil cleanse. I've Oil cleansed for years.
What else can be used in place of glass bowl?
Hello Barb. You can use a sealed ceramic bowl instead if you have that. Some oils can permeate plastic or other materials, which is why we always suggest using glass. Hope that helps and thanks for stopping by!
Would this work on a 30 year old with major breakouts red on cheeks the size of small blueberries OR can you suggest how to care for that face skin issues??

I just got my ART Skincare System and I Love it! My face feels and looks fantastic! I will be 50 in June, so this is very important to me. I also love the Satin Face Scrub- Mint, it is really nice, smells great and leaves your skin feeling tingly bright and alive.
I've been using ART for about 2 weeks now. I previously used Proactive. But I'm starting to get small pimples all over. I have oily skin as well. Is this supposed to happen? Any suggestions would be great!
Hey Brandi, troublesome skin is the worst! We can suggest some oils that help with skin blemishes. Tea tree, Frankincense, Lemon, Elemi, and Cedarwood help reduce appearance of blemishes and support healthy looking skin. Tea tree is a particular favorite of mine. Try adding a drop or two to your face lotion and see if you see any changes. Here is also a link to another post we did about ways to help with your skin: Essential Oils Your Skin Loves
I just simply want to moisturize with Frankincense and Argon oil. Can you please advise me how much Frankencense to Argon oil.
Hi Joanne, This particular recipe suggests using 1/4 cup of the base carrier oil with 1-3 drops of the essential oil. If you have sensitive skin, further dilution may be needed. Thanks for stopping by with your question!
