    • Hi Donna, Melissa is steam distilled from the lemon balm plant. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Erin, Melissa must be distilled at the precise time of blossom to retain the full oil potential. The difference from an early morning cutting to a late afternoon cutting can be critical enough to decrease oil production by as much as 90%, so there is a very small window to get any yield. Less than one thousandth of the bulk plant is likely to end up as condensed oil. Plant material must also be taken from the field to the distillery immediately. Any drying of plant material can destroy or severely limit the oil distillation process. So the production has to be timed just right. Thanks for stopping by!

  • We grow Lemon Balm in the garden. It's good to put in chicken nesting box for healthful boost. Its wonderful and calming to just run your hands over the leaves as you pass by. The oil should have some nice calming effects as well.

  • I grown lemonbalm in a flower pot outside thinking of how one day I will be able to afford a bottle of Melissa. Can't wait to use it.

  • Diffusers are mentioned frequently but with no mention of where they can be obtained.

  • Hmm, I don't know. I've not tried that in all the 9 months of being with Young Living. I'll definitely have to put that on my next order as I Love the DIY Air Fabric Freshener you displayed. I ordered extra glass spray bottles for just that purpose! Oh I can't wait now!

  • I look forward to ordering my first bottle of Melissa soon. I can't wait to add it to my collection!
