  • Oil and water don't typically mix well leaving the oil sitting on top of the water. Does the new vitality line do anything different so that it mixes well?

    • Brian, I have found that if you place a drop or two of vitality oils in the glass before adding water that it helps to mix the oil into the water.

    • Hi Brian, As the Vitality™ line of oils are 100% therapeutic-grade essential oils these oils will also float on top of the water. Thanks for stopping by!

  • I just purchased both the Lemon & Grapefruit EOs for adding to my water just for the taste benefits and then got home to read the fine print that it is for topical & aromatic use only. I'm confused. Is it safe or not?

    • Hi Jennifer, Great question! We recommend following the usage directions as listed on the label. Our New Vitality Dietary Essential Oils offers both Grapefruit Vitality and Lemon Vitality. With the same constituents and purity, our Vitality line is labeled for dietary use, while the topical/aromatic line is labeled for topical and aromatic uses. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Kristin, Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with specific information on where the lemons are farmed as we regard it as proprietary information and a source of our competitive advantage. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

  • i have read some articles warning about drinking pure lemon essential oil in water directly and the harm it could bring to the body internally. How does the essential oil by young living differ and safe?

    • Hello Vivian, Thank you for your question. Only pure essential oils, proven safe and labeled as dietary supplements, should be used internally. Our New Vitality™ Dietary Essential Oils can be used in several different ways, from gourmet cooking to wellness supplements. It is always important to follow the recommended usage on the individual product labels to ensure safety or seek the advice of a health professional before administering oils internally. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Does lemon essential oil have acid in it? Is it 100% safe to mix with rubbing alcohol and water to clean your granite counter?

Please let me know, been looking all over online.

    • Hi Sophia, Thanks for stopping by with your question. Unlike lemon juice, Lemon essential oil is pH-neutral, so it should not be harmful to the granite counter. However, we would suggest doing a spot test on an inconspicuous area before cleaning the entire surface to ensure the mixture is compatible with your counter. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Julie, thank you for your question. With the same constituents and purity, our Vitality line is labeled for dietary use, while the topical/aromatic line is labeled for topical and aromatic uses. We recommend following the usage directions on each individual product label. Thanks for stopping by!

      • If they have the same constituents and purity, why would the labels be different? Does one or the other go through a different or shorter process making one for dietary use and the other not?

        • Hi Kai, Great question! These changes were made to align our labels with FDA regulations that state a product cannot be labeled for use as a dietary supplement AND for topical or aromatic use, both could not be on the same label. In compliance with these regulations, our essential oils have been displaying labels that distinguish the products intended as a dietary supplement and those intended to be used for topical application or aromatic use. The Vitality line has been created so that members can now draw clear distinction between topical/aromatic use and dietary use. This should drastically widen the communication opportunities for Young Living essential oils moving forward. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Sylvia, Based on our testing, there are 0 grams of carbohydrates and fiber in our essential oils. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

    • Hi Joanne! Our Lemon essential oil includes the naturally occurring constituent limonene. We would suggest discussing the use of Lemon with your health care provider to determine if Lemon dietary supplement should be included as part of your daily routine.
