  • Quick question - can you consume Lemon EO? Or do you have to have the Lemon Vitality specifically for cooking or enhancing waters and teas? Thanks!!

    • Hey Jimmy! Excellent question! Lemon essential oil is labeled for aromatic or topical use and therefore not for internal use. We recommend using our Lemon Vitality™ which is labeled for dietary use and is a great choice to be added to your favorite beverages or for cooking. Hope that answers your question and thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Danielle, Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with specific information on each source of our oils as we regard it as proprietary information and a source of our competitive advantage. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

    • Hi Alex, Although we do recommend extreme caution when using essential oils for children, through our research and 20+ years of experience, we have found that essential oils can be safe and beneficial for people of all ages. We recommend referring to the individual label directions for any age restrictions. Essential oils should also be diluted for use on children. If you have further questions, we recommend speaking with a pediatrician about the use of the Vitality oils. Thanks for stopping by!

  • I am needing some information on changing into the EO equivalent. I want to make a marinate for lamb chops. 2 Tablespoon olive, juice of 1 lemon, 2 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon Rosemary and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, to marinate one pound of lamb chops. How would I use my YL lemon and YL rosemary vitality for this flavor? Does one drop from each cover the flavor I am looking for? Thank you for your response in advance. Debbie

    • Hey Debbie,

It sounds like a delicious marinate! EO tend to be quite potent. When trying something new with them, it's best to start with a drop and make your way up from there! A lot depends on the personal taste, too.

If you make a ratio you like, let us know!

      Best,

      YL

  • Hi is it safe to drink peppermint essential oil by diluting with water for cleansing of stomach? Please suggest. Thanks.

    • Hi Kalpa, Great question. A drop of Peppermint Vitality can be added to a tall glass of water for a bright, cool flavor to start your morning. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Danielle, Great question. Citrus essential oils are byproducts of the juicing process for fruit juices. The fruits are pressed and squeezed producing juice and essential oil which will rise to the top. The essential oil is separated from the juice through filtration. The juice and pulp are used in fruit juices. Thanks for stopping by!

  • If I put lemon EO in my hand soap or lotion will it affect my skin if I'm in the sun after using it?

    • Hi Danielle, If you desire to use citrus oils in your own skin care products we suggest extreme caution. The oil(s) should be heavily diluted in the formula. We also suggest performing a test on a small area of skin before applying the mixture to a larger area to ensure it is properly diluted for your skin and that no photosensitive reaction occurs. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

    • Hello Danielle,
In citrus fruits (such as lemon or orange) the oil, is in the rind. Just try it with fresh lemon, you will see it.

      • Just a quick question. There are two separate answers to Danielle's question-one says the oil is a byproduct of the juicing process after the fruits are pressed and squeezed, producing juice and EO, which then get separated. The second answer says that the oil is in the rind.

MY question is WHICH ONE IS CORRECT?

Thank you very much in advance!
        Kate

        • Hi Sara, Both answers are correct! Lemon essential oil is cold pressed from the rind. The first answer explained the processed of extracting the oils from the rind further. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hello
Can you tell me if lemon oil is acid or alkaline or better yet what is its Ph ? I bought a box of cookies and the last ingredients in the list was lemon oil. Not sure how acid reflex friendly lemon oil might be but I would imagine it's less acidic when added to other ingredients.

    • Hi Lau, Great question! Lemon essential oil is not acidic and does not have a pH as essential oils do not contain water. Thanks for stopping by!
