  • I loooove cedar wood. I just recently made my own roller perfume and I mixed cedar wood, orange, and geranium, it smells delicious. I just love cedarwood.

    • Pat,
I didn't know about cedarwood & mascara until now. I've been using lavender in my primer & mascara for a long time now. It conditions the lashes & adds extra moisture to the products.

  • Cedarwood is very effective for ridding one's pantry and/or closet of moths.
It is also an excellent sleep aid.

  • I see a lot of you are putting the Cedarwood and Lavender in your mascara. Could you please explain the benefit to me? Im new to EO and trying to learn all I can.

    • Caution. I would strongly advise against using any essential oils in mascara or around the eye. Mascara is usually made of petrochemicals. Essential oils break down plastics and petrochemicals. This is why you should only use essential oils in glass, not plastic. Why play chemist with a product, such as mascara, that you wear all day on your sensitive eye area.

    • Diana,
I haven't done cedarwood & lavender in my mascara, just lavender for a long time now. I hadn't heard about using cedarwood until now. Lavender is supposed to help condition your lashes, plus it adds extra moisture to the mascara to help from drying out.

    • Diana,
From my experience, cedarwood and lavender in mascara helps to strengthen lashes and it also kills the mites on our lashes. Yes, it's gross, but true. We have tiny mites that live on our eyelashes. I googled it and then immediately added drops of both in my mascara. Welcome to the world of essential oils! You will love it!

  • I just hosted my first make and take class and we used Cedarwood for - scrubs/bath salts and room sprays the men loved it just as much as the ladies did!

  • RIGHT NOW MY CHOICE FOR MY OVERNIGHT DIFFUSER IS CEDARWOOD AND ORANGE AND SOME NIGHTS I ADD A DROP OR TWO OF VALOR II - IT SMELLS SO GOOD AND I SLEEP LIKE A BABY!!!

  • I love Cedarwood for my hair. I also love to put some on my temples and base of my neck. Grateful for Young Living's Cedarwood and it's a good price too!!!!

      • Debbie, I love putting oils on top head, back of neck, and on the temples daily.... top of head has a reflex point. I love thinking of a reflex point as a train station and the nerves (which are small blood vessels) that are connected at that point, are like the train tracks. So putting it on the point, it sends oils to more than one track. Then to learn how an oil might work, check the Desk Reference.... to see if it is calming, or whatever else. And different people have different preferences for the same oils. Putting oils on back of neck, is like putting oils on a short part of the spine...
