Vanilla Essential Oil - 5 ml

With its warm, rich, slightly sweet aroma, vanilla is one of the most popular and recognisable fragrances throughout the world for a reason. Young Living’s exclusive Vanilla oleoresin has a gentle, welcoming personality with a balancing aroma that evokes pleasant memories when diffused. Extracted from beans grown in the northwestern region of Madagascar, our ethically sourced, pure Vanilla oleoresin is made with a unique extraction method developed for Young Living. This unique process helps our Vanilla retain its rich, classic aroma and blends especially well with Young Living essential oils. Obtaining just the right Vanilla oleoresin involves the removal of naturally sourced ethyl alcohol from French sugar beets, at which point the product is processed with fractionated coconut oil. While many vanilla products on the market are synthetic, Young Living Vanilla is pure and quality tested to meet our rigorous Seed to Seal quality commitment. Vanilla has a pure, rich aroma that may change slightly as you use it in different ways. It also enhances and complements a wide variety of other aromas. Diffuse Vanilla to create a homey, welcoming atmosphere and to enjoy its naturally calming aroma. Blend or layer it with your favourite Young Living essential oils to create your own personal fragrance.

PRODUCT BACKGROUND

Vanilla is produced from Vanilla planifolia, an orchid that grows long vanilla bean pods. The process of obtaining Vanilla is extensive, as it can take up to four years for the vine to mature. The vine produces orchid blossoms that last only 24 hours and must be pollinated by hand within 8 to 12 hours for the bean pod to grow. The entire process—growing, pollinating, drying, curing and preparing for export—takes around one year.

Young Living’s Vanilla is not strictly an extract or an absolute, both of which contain mostly alcohol and do not blend well with essential oils. Noticing these flaws in mainstream vanilla extracts and absolutes, the D. Gary Young Research Institute worked to find a vanilla product that would meet our Seed to Seal quality commitment and blend well with our essential oils. They searched for more than a year to find the right product, and by using a first-of-its-kind extraction method with the vanilla oleoresin and fractionated coconut oil, they finally found a Vanilla that is not only pure, but also diffuses and blends beautifully with essential oils.

Vanilla cannot be made into an essential oil due to the unique natural compounds found in Vanilla beans. The method used to extract its aroma and key compounds doesn’t classify it as an essential oil. Young Living has worked to develop a proprietary extraction method that produces a high-quality oleoresin. We’re proud to offer 100 percent pure Vanilla oleoresin in fractionated coconut oil that offers a sweet, warm, comforting aroma that can be diffused, applied topically, and blended with other essential oils.

Yes, Young Living’s 100 percent pure Vanilla oleoresin is diluted in fractionated coconut oil. Vanilla oleoresin is a semi-solid concentrate that is diluted so it’s ready for immediate topical and aromatic use.

Young Living has worked to develop a unique extraction method created for Young Living that produces a high-quality vanilla oleoresin. This unique process gives our Vanilla a desired aroma that blends well with Young Living essential oils. Obtaining just the right Vanilla oleoresin involves extracting the Vanilla with naturally sourced ethyl alcohol (from French sugar beets), and is then is heated and removed to create the Vanilla oleoresin, at which point the product is processed with fractionated coconut oil to make it pourable.

Naturally sourced Ethyl alcohol is used to extract the vanilla beans in a form known as an oleoresin, a semi-solid concentrate.

According to testing, there is less than 2% of the ethyl alcohol left over after the removal process.

The Vanilla included in other Young Living products is not the same as the Vanilla Oleoresin with Fractionated Coconut Oil. The vanilla used in current Young Living products blends well in the formulas Young Living has created, but we wanted to have a Vanilla that you could use in your home, that was easy to blend with essential oils and easy to diffuse in your home. Young Living scientists searched more than a year to find the right product and with using a first-of-its-kind extraction method, this Vanilla Oleoresin with Fractionated Coconut Oil, this Vanilla is the perfect solution for you to use in your home and create your own beautiful blends!

No. The vanilla used in Stress Away is the same plant species but a different type of vanilla extract. When Stress Away blend was formulated, we did not have this exact extraction method available.

Both products include the sweet rich and familiar aroma of Vanilla.

Both vanilla raw ingredients used by Young Living are at highest level of purity.

Madagascar is the country of harvest for both.

Vanilla beans undergo the same process: hand pollination of the orchid, harvest of the green beans, blanching, drying, and sorting. The extraction method used leads to differences in the vanilla single versus the vanilla used in Stress Away but maintains the quality and purity at its highest level.

Vanilla oleoresin with fractionated coconut oil single is currently the only Young Living product that contains this specially created vanilla.

Currently Vanilla is only offered as a topical- and aromatic-use product.
