COVID-19: Important Update

March 18, 2020

Stay Connected: A message from Jared Turner, President and COO
"While so much has changed over the last several weeks, the YL community remains the same as ever: connected, compassionate, and committed to each other and our mission of wellness. Thank you for virtually extending your care and passion..."

A Global Update

The health and safety of our employees, members, and partners is our highest priority at Young Living. First and foremost, we want to assure our members that we’re putting people first while still maintaining high-functioning business operations. Despite the growing health concerns related to COVID-19, we’re here to support you as much as ever. That goes for all of our market leadership around the world. Our corporate leaders in every Young Living market have responded to this crisis with timeliness, insight, and the agility required to overcome the business challenges presented by this global situation.

As a key part of putting people first, we have counter measures in place to protect our employees around the world. One of these steps is to follow sound guidance from public health authorities and may involve asking some employees to work from home in the near future.
For areas of our business and business functions that cannot be done remotely, we’re strategically staggering shifts to create space between people to reduce potential exposure - both for employees and members of the public. This includes, for example, events, our farms, warehouse, shipping operations, and other important functions. You can continue to count on the support you need from your market Member Services teams.

While we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will respond based on the advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals, we are also taking these critical steps: organizing a virtual International Grand Convention and canceling the live event, postponing all farm tours until further notice, and canceling or postponing major events. The safety and well-being of the attendees at any Young Living event has and always will be our first priority. We’ll continue to evaluate our general event schedule and update event dates and locations as needed.

Please look to your local market for updates to business operations. Thank you for your patience as we work together to overcome this unprecedented challenge.

Sincerely,
Young Living’s Executive Leadership Team

Young Living Australia & New Zealand Updates

Both the domestic and global situation in relation to the Coronavirus is changing from one moment to the next. Directives from governments at home and abroad are unforeseen and increasingly instantaneous. This means the level of uncertainty felt by businesses and individuals can be unnerving as we head into unchartered waters.

Young Living’s primary concern is of course, the health and wellbeing of our members, employees and their families. Following comprehensive consultation and discussions, we have decided that it is in the best interests of all concerned to postpone key Young Living AUNZ events during 2020. We will carefully monitor the ongoing situation.
The following events are affected:

Young Living Day: 4th April

We will retain the planned activity. However, we suggest that face-to-face gatherings move to online events.
What we will do:
Provide the presentation materials and announcements as usual.
Create and share a webinar: ‘How to plan, create and deliver a successful YL Day online event that everyone will love!’
Please join the YLDay Host Facebook group if you have registered as a host. Please bear with us as we endeavour to turnaround this revised program ASAP!

Postponed until further notice:

Raindrop Training for Family and Friends (Previously scheduled for May)
Opportunity Speaker Tour – (Previously scheduled for July)
No Boundaries (formerly Mastermind) – (Previously scheduled for August)

YL Escape 2020

It’s imperative that all qualifiers have peace of mind and are therefore, happy to participate fully in the event. With October being the end of the winter flu season - and given this is an overseas trip and influenced by both domestic and overseas government directives and policies, plus the financial commitment to bookings and reservations and all the uncertainty around viability, we feel it necessary to postpone the planned event as we know it. Therefore qualification for YL Escape 2020 is also therefore suspended.
What we will do:
Identify other opportunities to reward and recognise outstanding achievement.
Offer automatic registration, at no additional charge, for the next Escape to those currently registered.
Consider a shorter, sharper qualification period, new criteria and a new exciting location.
Keep you updated on all future developments.
International Grand Convention in June is now via digital ticket as you know. We await further information about Silver, Gold and Platinum Retreats.

Member Services and Business Development

Some members are waiting in call queues unnecessarily, perhaps unaware that much information can be found online in their VO. We’re always keen to provide a faster, more efficient service (especially where enquiries can’t be handled online) so, it may be worth taking 10-minutes to explore your Virtual Office. You’ll find answers to many questions, including:

Product Experience Centre Temporary Closure

The current situation has presented many challenges. One of those is the potential health and safety risk involved in direct human contact. So in an effort to mitigate risk and to ensure we can continue to provide the best service and safeguard our businesses, we have made the decision to temporarily close both the Sydney & Perth Product Pick Up & Experience Centres. This will become effective from Tuesday 24 March 2020. Therefore, the last day for order collection will be Monday 23 March 2020. We kindly request that you collect your orders by this date, as any uncollected orders will be shipped out at the member’s expense. The option to select Product Pick Up online will be disabled first thing Thursday 19th March. This is to ensure we have adequate time to print and pack orders for collection.

We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we tackle these very challenging times. The safety of our staff and all our members remains the utmost of importance to us and we want to reassure you that we remain committed to the continuation of all other business activity to best serve our YL community.

Stock Update

We are processing through a large volume of orders in our Sydney and Perth warehouses and the team are working around the clock and doing a fantastic job to get you your orders as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience if your order is slightly delayed - we will be back up to speed by the end of the week.

The Stock Update will also be refreshed daily on the Virtual Office at 12:30pm AEDT Monday to Friday, so you will always have the most up to date information on when Out of Stock items will be back in stock, as well as any quantity ordering limits imposed on particular high demand products. We are committed to assisting you given the current circumstances.

And Finally...

We’re a dynamic group with so many ideas and promotions bubbling. They may be a little different to what we’re used to, but they’re still exciting! We are extremely fortunate to be part of a strong, thriving community; one that highlights the benefits of nurturing health and wellness in ourselves, those we love and the broader community. There has never been a better, nor more important time, to both share and be part of this incredible global Young Living movement.
We look forward to partnering with you throughout 2020 and sharing the true value of living a YL lifestyle.
