Finca Botanica Farm and Distillery—CHONGON (GUAYAQUIL), ECUADOR
Building this farm and its state-of-the-art distillery started as one of Gary Young’s passion projects. Today Guayaquil’s tropical climate helps nurture Young Living’s 2,000 acres of rich soil, year-round harvests, and lush botanical life. This farm supports a year-round growing season of an abundance of palo santo trees, along with ample cultivation of lemongrass, ruta graveolens, and many more local plants and herbs.

Mera Ocotea Farm—PASTAZA PROVINCE, ECUADOR
The Mera Ocotea Farm occupies 120 acres in Ecuador’s Pastaza Province. The province benefits from year-round rain, the primary water source for the farm’s 5,000 Ocotea trees. This native Ecuadorian tree produces Ocotea essential oil, which contains the naturally occurring constituent alpha-humulene and is commonly used for its soothing and comforting benefits. The farm will be surrounded by wildlife corridors, which will link habitats that protect and re-establish threatened populations. The farm uses only non-GMO seeds that are cultivated through natural pollination.
