Artisan organization: Raksha Nepal
After being trafficked as a child, Muna was taken in by the Raksha Nepal shelter, where she received therapy, medical care, and education. Today Muna has completed school and vocational training in sewing and is a vital part of Raksha’s leadership team.
Raksha Nepal provides vulnerable women with hope and healing. Each day they seek to foster economic independence through skills-based training, bring justice to perpetrators of sexual exploitation, and create awareness of sex crimes in Nepal. To date, Raksha is responsible for the rescue and rehabilitation of 790 children and has provided vocational training for more than 500 women. This group of women created the 100 percent cotton bags that come with our Nepalese Wool Dryer Ball Collection.
Add 2 drops of your favorite essential oil and place in the dryer with your laundry for a fresh scent and less static cling.
Dryer balls can cut drying times by 5–10 minutes and can be repurposed as fabric refreshers in your drawers and closets.
That are good for more than 1,000 loads of laundry.
Dryer balls are handmade in Nepal by a group of women artisans at Raksha Nepal.
