In addition to Young Living’s Ukraine efforts and donations, the company has suspended business operations with Russia
LEHI, Utah, March 22, 2022—Young Living, the world's leading provider of essential oils, today released the following statement about the company’s efforts to suspend business operations in Russia.
Young Living shall suspend certain operations and new business investments in the Russian Federation and the EAEU countries. The company will suspend all capital investments, opening of regional offices, marketing activities, offline trainings, and all events. Young Living has also made the decision to cancel the large-scale Russian Convention and Exhibition that was to take place in Moscow this August. Young Living shall also discontinue the sale of products from the warehouses in Europe and restrict brand partners’ work with unregistered customers.
“We understand that actions speak louder than words, and we have been rallying to do all we can for our Ukrainian staff and brand partners,” says Kristen Tod, Young Living’s President of EMEA and Russia. This includes paying the company’s Ukrainian brand partners their commission in February and March and continuing to do so for the foreseeable future. Staff in Europe have donated £3800 from their March salary, and Young Living Europe has matched this. Their efforts on the ground include assembling product kits, including basic hygiene supplies for refugee camps on the borders, and staff are driving these kits to the camps. The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation launched the Dollar Up campaign with a goal to raise $200,000, and donations will go to Asociatia Casa Share and British Ukraine Aid.
This follows Young Living's previous statement regarding its Ukraine relief efforts, which was released on March 5, 2022. Young Living will continue to monitor the situation and will adjust its tactics as needed to ensure it is doing its part to help provide safety and well-being to their global community.
