Young Living Foundation Commemorates Giving Tuesday with Sponsor a Student Program

The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation commemorates Giving Tuesday on November 28 by highlighting its Sponsor a Student program. For $75 a month, sponsors help provide quality education to a child attending the Young Living Academy in Ecuador.

This Giving Tuesday (November 28), The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation is honoring compassion and human connection through its Sponsor a Student program, where anyone who donates $75 a month will help a child receive an education at the Young Living Academy in Ecuador.

The Young Living Academy, which opened in 2009, provides its 350 students with a world-class education in an underserved area where only approximately 20 percent of students graduate from high school. The Foundation provides access to quality education to ensure children and youth are equipped with opportunities for a higher income, improved health, and gender equality and can prevent the cycle of poverty. Students are empowered with a curriculum that fosters confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom, including community service. 

Sponsors help provide students with school supplies, nutritious meals, uniforms, and the resources they need to succeed academically at the Academy. They will stay updated on their sponsored student’s journey through a bi-monthly school newsletter and a letter from their student detailing their dreams and progress—for themselves and their communities.

Young Living announced it will be giving away three $150 product credits to those signing up as new sponsors. To be eligible for the drawing, one must sponsor a student between Tuesday, November 28, and Sunday, December 31, 2023. The winners will be notified on January 2, 2024. Anyone, regardless of Young Living membership, can sign up to sponsor a student, and additional information on the students who need a sponsor, including photos, names, and grade level, can be found here.
