Young Living Celebrates Earth Day with Global Conservation and Social Impact Efforts

Young Living Essential Oils, the world leader in essential oils and oil-infused wellness products, is celebrating Earth Day 2025 by showing how #WeAreOne with the planet. With impactful conservation and social sustainability initiatives spanning the globe, Young Living continues to protect and give back to our planet and its people—on Earth Day and every day.

LEHI, UTAH, APRIL 22, 2025

Young Living’s Earth Day message calls on individuals, businesses, and communities to participate in year-round efforts to protect our natural world and support vulnerable populations. Through its farms and The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation, the company has made significant progress over the past year in the areas of reforestation, wildlife support, and humanitarian relief.

Conservation at the Heart of Our Farms

Young Living’s global farm network continues to lead in biodiversity and conservation. Key highlights since Earth Day 2024 include:

  • Orchid Conservation at the Finca Botanical Farm and Distillery in Ecuador: The Young Living Orchidarium, in partnership with Ecuador’s environmental authorities, has rescued 137 wild orchids. With nearly 500 orchids now in its collection—including native, endangered, and hybrid species—the program helps preserve Ecuador’s rich biodiversity.

  • Prosperina Forest Restoration Project: In collaboration with ESPOL University’s Faculty of Life Sciences, 200 native trees were planted to help regenerate local forest land.

  • Tropical Dry Forest Protection: At the Finca Botanica Farm, Young Living planted 1,100 native trees and 5,085 palo santo trees across three biological corridors and reserve area to safeguard and restore the tropical dry forest.

  • Reforestation Efforts at Mera Ocotea Farm: Six hundred native trees were planted in Ecuador’s Pastaza Province to link habitats that protect endangered species.

  • Partnership with Sacha Wildlife Center: Young Living teamed up with Sacha to provide essential oils as sensory enrichment for native animals in rehabilitation, enhancing their well-being and recovery.

The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation’s Humanitarian Impact

The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation continued its global mission to support disaster relief and social sustainability efforts over the past year. Notable initiatives include:

  • Hurricanes Helene and Milton (USA): Relief kits valued at over $600,000 were assembled and distributed in collaboration with United Rescue Alliance and The Rock Church. The Foundation also launched a service opportunity for cleanup and contributed $55,000 in donations to Wine to Water and The Rock Church.

  • Flooding in Valencia, Spain: The Foundation raised funds and donated $10,000—$5,000 directly from YLF—to Aldeas Infantiles, a local nonprofit that distributes relief kits and supports low-income families.

  • Los Angeles, California, Wildfires (USA): Nearly $120,000 worth of disaster relief kits were delivered to affected communities and local organizations.

“The Foundation exists to bring hope where it's needed most,” said Nikki Davis, global head of Social Impact and Philanthropy and executive director of The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation. “Whether it's after a natural disaster or in the daily work of supporting children and families, we believe in building resilience and showing up for those in need.”
