I hope the holidays were good to you and you’re refreshed and ready for a stellar year ahead! I’m more than a little excited for everything that’s in store and I’d love to share some of this with you.
What a great start to the year we had with our very first Live Your Passion Rally event held on the 13th January across the country. I was truly overwhelmed with your response to this. Thank you to all those who helped support this event by hosting, taking part, helping or even inviting family and friends to attend. We had 24 registered events, and countless others with a total attendance of over 1500 attendees! Globally, Young Living had 3000 hosts and 27000 attendees, and the impact of this is astounding. Sales for the day were 105% up on the same day last year. It was great to see you come together to learn, recognise achievements, get excited about our new products and in turn invite others to share this wonderful opportunity! Adelaide gold member Maria Jones coordinated the recent RISE event in Adelaide, bringing together leaders to offer their tips for building a successful YL business, creating a sense of teamwork from all lines of sponsorship across Australia. Members found it inspiring and motivational. I applaud Maria for her professionalism and initiative in assisting everyone in the YL family.
January also saw the launch of our Commonwealth Games promotion. Build your Young Living team for a chance to WIN tickets to the Commonwealth Games & $1000 towards your travel costs on the beautiful Gold Coast in April 2018. We have already drawn 2 lucky winners on facebook live and there are 6 more chances to win, so get going!
In addition to our January PV & ER promotions, we have two very special promotions on for a limited time: our Australia Day Promotion and some gorgeous pamper packs for Valentine’s Day. Take advantage of these great offers and pamper your loved one on the most romantic day of the year.
In this edition of Essential Business news our ‘Member Success Story’ features our YL Platinum Kylie Bryant. What I find most interesting about Kylie's amazing story is that she was initially sceptical about the Young Living opportunity, and through the love of our products, she embraced it wholeheartedly. This is probably something many of us identify with, and you will surely enjoy reading about her fascinating journey with Young Living.
My heartiest congratulations to our Race to the Finish winners Masqrurah Madkhul and Rahel Macpherson who are heading to beautiful Hawaii for the trip of a lifetime! I’m also thrilled to see our top 40 winners, who are on their way to our very first Regional Asia-Pacific Convention, 'My Destiny', in Kuala Lumpur next month. I’m so proud of your efforts and achievements.
It’s also heartwarming to bring you news about our new Young Living Primary School in Nepal opened by the D. Gary Young Young Living Foundation. When a 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal on April 25, 2015, the primary school in the village of Yarsa was destroyed. The roof caved in, and the walls crumbled, smashing desks and chairs and burying learning materials. Luckily, the children and the teachers didn’t have school that day. After a year of construction, the Young Living Primary School is now open. It is a school that is functioning and safe and more importantly, it is a haven where learning can take place, and where children can increase their opportunities for a brighter future. This is the second school opened by the Young Living Foundation in Nepal. Initially, 40 children will attend Young Living's second academy with plans to grow in due course.
It’s hard to imagine that time has flown by and we are just over a month away from our New Zealand grand opening! So many plans are underway, and let me assure you, it’s going to be an event to remember. If you haven't already registered, let me extend a personal invitation to you to attend this inaugural event and witness a milestone in our history!
Have a great Australia Day weekend celebrating all the things we love about Australia: our land, lifestyle, the freedoms we enjoy and particularly our great community.
I wish you an incredible 2018!
