On Thursday, March 15, Salt Lake City’s Leonardo Museum unveiled its latest exhibit entitled “City Blocks.” The exhibit, curated by Marissa Day, is a study in local Urban Planning and Development and, through hands-on learning, emphasizes the use of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in everyday life.

Included among sculptures of Temple Square, the Salt Lake City Library, the Cathedral of the Madeleine, and other historic and cultural landmarks in the Salt Lake City area is the Young Living Whispering Springs Farm located in Mona, Utah.

The sculpture, made entirely of LEGO® bricks by artist Jen Smart, features a working waterwheel, farm buildings, and Young Living’s signature lavender field—scented, of course, with Lavender essential oil produced by Young Living.

To launch the exhibit, which will run through this October, Young Living Chief Science Officer Mike Buch offered remarks sharing background on the farm's beginnings, touching on Young Living's patented Seed to Seal process, and giving attendees insight into the next Young Living/Leonardo exhibition partnership entitled “Senses,” where research from the Young Living lab will be paired with the company's aromatic essential oils to ignite every visitor's sense of smell.

The Leonardo’s commitment to STEM education through play and hands-on experiences makes it a perfect partner for Young Living, whose Seed to Seal process embraces science and encourages its members to become a part of the process through programs like its Winter and Melissa Harvests and Spring planting, all hosted at Young Living farms.
