2013 Master Leader Retreat

The 2013 Master Leader Retreat, held in Guayaquil, Ecuador, was an exotic adventure where high-achieving members visited the Young Living farm, experienced the local culture, and learned firsthand how Young Living produces the purest oils in the world.

This year’s retreat featured a personal tour of the farm with Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young. Attendees were treated to an insider’s look into how our Ecuador farm produces precious botanicals—such as Eucalyptus Blue, Lemongrass, and Palo Santo—and how they are then distilled into Young Living’s pure, powerful essential oils. Gary demonstrated for attendees the various methods used to ensure that the botanicals and oils meet the high standards of our unique Seed to Seal® process and allowed them to participate in the process.

In addition to the farm excursion, members enjoyed a day at the beach, a relaxing spa day where they received massages and Raindrop Technique® treatments, four-wheeling, jet skiing, and local excursions to markets and restaurants in the area. Attendees bonded one with another, enjoyed personal growth, and took in the sights and sounds of beautiful Ecuador.

Attendees capped off their Ecuadorian adventure with a day at the Young Living Academy, a school built and funded by the D. Gary Young Foundation. On their exclusive tour, members met with the students in their classrooms, were treated to special student presentations, and discussed with Gary the future of the school and its students. The group also raised a remarkable $36,000 in donations—funds that are critically needed to begin construction of a high school.
