Young Living Africa general statement on the coronavirus (COVID-19)

It’s been 3 weeks since we as a nation began our time in lockdown. No doubt, some days have been tough but the thing that brings us solace is knowing we still wake up and serve all of you. As Young Living Africa, we would like to thank you for remaining optimistic with us during this time and though our days in lockdown are far from over, with the current number of infected persons being 2 506, we believe our work on this continent has just begun.

The results of this week’s intensive testing will be "critical" for the government’s Covid-19 fight, because the number of positive cases will guide the government's next move. Though the lockdown has been effective in delaying transmissions, South Africa might still see an exponential increase in Covid-19 once it has been lifted.

While we continue to monitor the Covid-19 updates and respond based on the advice of government, public health authorities and medical professionals, we as Young Living are also taking these critical steps :
1. Organising a virtual International Grand Convention and cancelling the live event (Global)
2. Postponing all farm tours until further notice (Global)
3. Cancelling or postponing major events (Global)

As a key part of putting people first, we’ve taken decisive steps to protect our employees around the world. One of these steps is to follow sound guidance from public health authorities and ask employees to work from home for the near future.

For areas of our business with functions that cannot be done remotely, we’re strategically staggering shifts to create space between people to reduce potential exposure—both for employees and members of the public. This includes, for example, our farms, warehouse, shipping operations, and other important functions. Globally, you can also count on the support you need from your market Member Services teams.
While we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will respond based on the advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals, we are also taking these critical steps:
