Celebrate the Grand Opening of Young Living’s New Highland Flats Distillery
This January Young Living’s newest distillery became operational at the Highland Flats Tree Farm, producing Idaho Balsam Fir, Idaho Blue Spruce, Pine, and Evergreen Essence, among other essential oils. A realization of a dream that company Founder and CEO D. Gary Young has had for many years, this new oil-extracting facility is state of the art and is the world’s first automated distillery. Fully insulated with heated floors to help melt snow and ice in the chips for a more manageable distillation, the 21,000-liter extraction chambers can produce anywhere from 17–23 liters of oil per cook while using one-third of the fuel.
