Summary

Packages materials and products manually by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Obtains and sorts product.
Wraps protective material around product.
Starts, stops, and regulates speed of conveyor.
Inserts or pours product into containers or fills containers from spout or chute.
Packs special arrangements or selections of product.
Inspects materials, products, containers and manifests in the shipping process.
Must be able to occasionally lift 25 lbs. and 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Prefer a high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
