An active lecturer since 1999, Dr. Brandt currently teaches an integrative course at Wongu University for traditional Chinese medical students studying anatomy and physiology. Her ultimate goal as a holistic care expert is to bring an understanding and appreciation of the holistic lifestyle to the wider public. She is currently a single mother of three, grandmother of one, and pet guardian to three dogs and one horse, all of whom benefit from a holistic approach to wellness.
After graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 1985, Dr. Albright began practicing at the Chenoa Veterinary Clinic that same year. She became the sole proprietor in 1996. The majority of her practice is focused on horses, including general and preventative equine medicine, equine reproduction, and equine dentistry. She also cares for smaller animals using nutrition, Chinese herbs, acupuncture, and chiropractic to improve the overall health of her patients. She uses Young Living essential oils throughout her practice.
Dr. Albright’s experience and reputation have led her to various positions relating to the care and well-being of animals. She was administrator of Livingston County Animal Control from 2009–2014, as well as a member of the Illinois Animal Welfare Federation from 2011–2014. In addition to her private practice, she is currently a veterinary contributor for monthly essential oil teleconferences for Healing Touch for Animals®.
