As I reflect on the tremendous growth of Young Living over the past several years, I attribute it to the hard work of our leaders and dedicated employees at Young Living, and I’d like to make you aware of some recent changes.
As we continue to grow internationally, we’re moving to a more region-focused model. As an executive team, we decided to strategically elevate and empower Young Living’s regional presidents and general managers around the world to be the “faces” and primary support of the company to their respective members. This regional empowerment will allow our heads of market to make choices for their market without delay or interference from Global Headquarters with regard to products, IT solutions, events, etc. As a large company, it’s important that we shift from central control to regionalized solutions. Obviously, major functions will stay centrally focused, including the compensation plan, global marketing, etc., but regional empowerment is the direction we’re heading.
As part of this restructure effort, and for personal reasons, Ben Riley has decided to leave Young Living. As many of you know, Ben and his wife, Lydia, recently had a baby. Ben is seizing this opportunity to slow down and focus more on family during this time. We will miss Ben and his lovely family. Saying goodbye to respected colleagues and friends is always the hardest part of company life.
I’m excited to announce that Prasad Gankanda will be taking on a more senior leadership role as the senior vice president of Global Sales Operations. In his new role, Prasad will work very closely to support our Global Sales team, international markets, and new market launches. Since joining the company in 2015, Prasad has been instrumental in improving international operations and driving new market openings to support our 5×5 Pledge. In this new role, he will bring this same level of execution excellence to provide our members and markets with the tools, products, recognition, and business education they need to grow their businesses.
Wayne Moorehead, head of Sales and Marketing, will continue to lead these organizations. With decades of leadership and direct sales experience, an MBA in marketing, and a deep love for essential oils, Wayne will bring our Sales and Marketing teams together for greater collaboration and alignment to serve our members.
