Lemon Essential Oil - Young LivingLemon

Lemon is one of the most classic and versatile flavors that you can keep in your culinary essential oils kit. With a bright citrus taste, Lemon adds wonderful flavor and invigorates the senses.

  • Add a drop or more to taste to marinades, dressings, beverages, baked goods, grilled fish, and other recipes for an added burst of flavor.
  • Enhance and freshen the flavor of water with 1–2 drops of Lemon per 8-oz. glass.

Tangerine Essential Oil - Young LivingTangerine

Tangerine has a deliciously bright flavor that complements many foods. Add Tangerine to sauces, salad dressings, and marinades for a citrusy zing.

  • Mix with other citrus essential oils such as Lime, Grapefruit, or Lemon to create a complex, delicious citrus flavor that can be added to salad dressings and other sauces.
  • Enhance and freshen the flavor of water with 1–2 drops of Tangerine per 8-oz. glass.

How will you use the free Tangerine and Lemon essential oils in your qualifying September order? Let us know in the comments!

I use my citrus oils to make cream cheese icing, or cream cheese pie filling. I use about 10 drops for single flavors, or split 60/40 if I’m doing Lemon essential oil and Lime essential oil together. It has an especially strong flavor if you leave it refrigerated for 24 hours before eating. Give the oils time to properly distribute the flavor. It’s so much better than using extracts! Everyone in my family LOVES these recipes! I can’t wait to add my Peppermint essential oil to chocolate this winter!

How do I use the animal oils, apply to animal, or have cat or dog injest?

    • Young Living October 2, 2015 - 4:46 pm Reply

Great question Lynn. Essential oils can be safely and effectively shared with your animal friends. Young Living’s products are intended only for the use listed on individual labels—either for topical/aromatic use or as a dietary supplement. Please always refer to the label for usage directions. For more information on how to utilize the Young Living® products for your animals, please visit http://www.youngliving.com/blog/essential-oils-and-pets-a-quick-how-to/.

If your animal has specific health concerns, we would recommend discussing these products further with a veterinarian for specific recommendations.

I have an older brochure and therefore do not know what the animal oils are used for, do you apply or give internally.

I just received my tangerine oil and I placed on drop in my sweet chili sauce and it gave it a kick with tangerine flavor. It was tasteful over a salad!

Hi! Brand new to YL. Do the essential rewards ship separately from your regular order? I received my last August order, but the rewards weren’t included. I am having such a good time learning how to use my new oils!

    • Young Living September 4, 2015 - 2:16 pm Reply

Hi Dawn – welcome to YL! If you placed a single order with enough PV (tier levels are 190, 250, and 300 PV), you should have received your rewards in your regular order. If not, please contact us: https://www.youngliving.com/en_US/company/contactus. Hope this is helpful!

      • Dawn September 4, 2015 - 5:34 pm Reply

Thank you so much for your quick response. I had a total PV of over 200 for August, but not in a single order.

  • Betty September 1, 2015 - 10:19 pm Reply

When I make a Moscow Mule everyone who try’s it says it is the best they ever had. Thanks to my secret ingredients, lemon & lime essential oil. 2-3 drops is all it takes to give it that punch of fresh flavor! Think I might try adding the Tangerine as well.
