Recipe: Butternut Squash Soup with Essential Oils

This healthful and delicious essential oil-infused soup recipe is sure to be a hit with your friends and family. It includes Young Living’s Clove, Cinnamon Bark, and Nutmeg essential oils. Try this recipe for Butternut Squash Soup for your next meal.


2 tablespoons olive oil
2 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 pounds butternut squash, peeled and cubed
4 cups vegetable broth
2 drops Clove essential oil
3 drops Nutmeg essential oil
1 drop Cinnamon Bark essential oil

In soup pan, sauté onions, garlic, salt, and pepper in olive oil over medium heat until tender. Add cubed squash and cook for 3–5 minutes. Next, add vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Boil on medium-high heat for 25 minutes or until squash is fork tender. Remove from heat. Using a hand mixer, puree until smooth. Stir in the essential oils. Allow oils to infuse into soup for 5–8 minutes and then serve. The soup may be garnished with a spoonful of yogurt if desired.

This recipe makes about 5 ½ cups of soup.

    I have the BEST pumpkin pie vitality recipe! I have made about 10 pies so far this season!

    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 drop cinnamon bark vitality
    1 drop ginger vitality
    1 drop clove vitality
    2 large eggs
    1 can (15 oz) 100% Pure Pumpkin
    1 can (12 fl. oz) Evaporated Milk
    1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell

    Mis sugar, cinnamon, & salt in small bowl. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin, vitality essential oils and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

    POUR into pie shell.

    BAKE in preheated 425° F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° F; bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Top with whipped cream before serving.
