KidScents Slique Toothpaste—A Tasty, Effective Solution

0 May 12, 2014 - Archive

For many parents just getting children to brush their teeth can be a struggle—forget brushing for the recommended two minutes. Sometimes parents might wonder if the effort is worth it.

I want you to know that it is worth the hassle! According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 42 percent of children ages 2–11 have cavities in baby teeth, and 21 percent of those ages 6–11 have cavities in permanent teeth. Tooth decay is essentially preventable, yet it is five times as common as asthma and seven times as common as hay fever[1]. If you don’t want your kids to be part of that statistic, good oral hygiene is a must!

Enter Young Living’s kid-oriented dental solution: KidScents® Slique Toothpaste. This all-natural product encourages proper dental hygiene in kids by combining great taste and effective cleaning power without any of the potentially harmful ingredients often found on store shelves.

How do we create a formula that accomplishes all this? What really sets KidScents apart from any other toothpaste is the inclusion of two of Young Living’s proprietary essential oil blends—Thieves® and Slique™ Essence. Both of these blends provide a wonderful flavor that appeals to even small children, and since the ingredients are safe, parents don’t have to worry if their kids swallow the toothpaste.

Add to that the safe and gentle scrubbing action of baking soda and calcium carbonate and it’s a win-win for both parent and child!

Dental hygiene should be started at an early age, and effective, but nontoxic, ingredients are paramount. KidScents’ safe formula not only supports sparkling teeth and fresher breath, but it also helps your kids enjoy brushing, starting them on a path of good dental habits for the rest of their lives.

Is the slique toothpaste safe if swallowed by a 23 month old? Just started using and she is still figuring out the whole spit thing

Hi Melissa, it should be fine if a small amount is accidentally swallowed while using the product as directed on the label. Thanks for stopping by!

I interested to give it a try with my 2 year old boys but I’d like to know if it is safe for them to swallow.

Hi Joanne, Thanks for stopping by with your question. Please follow the instructions on the label. While it should not be a concern if a small amount is swallowed when using the product as suggested, it is not recommended that the toothpaste be intentionally swallowed. Please take the proper precautions when using the product. We hope this information is helpful!

What age would you recommend this toothpaste would be safe for? My son is almost one and we’re just brushing with water at the moment.

I have not tried the Kidscents toothpaste yet. Sounds great! I have used the Thieves Toothpaste for my kids, and I like to rub their teeth and gums with a little bit of Fennel oil- for fresh, healthy mouths!

Wow! I’ve been looking for a great natural toothpaste for my toddler, as she’s getting tired of brushing with only water. This looks like a fabulous product. I’m brand new to YL but learning bunches here. Looking forward to even more oily education to share with my blog readers. Thanks so much!
