Summary:

The International General Manager – (Country or Region) (IGM) has the responsibility for the development and execution of the market’s strategic, business, and marketing plans. The GM’s primary focus is to drive sponsoring, leadership, and retention and to create, direct, and implement market specific strategies; critical to building a profitable market. The GM has the responsibility for market revenue, profitability, sales, marketing, sales forecasts, distributor retention, education, leadership development, with overall management of the region and overall distributor relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Grow the Market (Revenue and Market Share)
• Manage a profitable operation
• Identify, nurture, and train up your replacement

• Create, direct and implement market specific strategies
• Development and execution of the (Country or Region) business, strategic and marketing plans.
• Product launches
• Management and implementation of growth strategies
• Drive (Country or Region) sales
• IT development and compliance
• Manage and review region/country currency options and direction
• Work closely with international teams, relevant department heads and other international managers
• Customer service
• Help resolve commission issues
• Supervise and direct (Country or Region) related and distributor issues as they arise
• Regionalized marketing and promotional materials
• Literature and sales tools
• Promotions
• Web and E-mail communication
• Increase distributor base, retention, recognition and overall distributor relations
• Distributor training
• Leadership development (Internal and External)
• Work with Top Distributors to develop and implement strategies for growing their organizations
• Direct the organization of City Opportunity Meetings, venues, hosts, and presentations by sales team representatives, health care professionals and Young Living Founder and Executive Team
• Representation and promotion of approved Young Living branding
• Represent Young Living in a professional manner at City Meetings as the International General Manager and fulfill speaking assignments

• Facilities management (Rent or Build facilities to meet our needs)
• Responsibilities include supporting legal and financial issues that may arise in the country or region.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Responsible for tax and accounting compliance
• Responsible to ensure import compliance of product and accessories
• Responsible to ensure the accuracy and security of inventory
• Responsible for compliance to governmental regulations regarding workplace health and safety requirements
• Responsible for identifying areas of risk to Young Living, its subsidiaries and employees and putting systems and processes in place that addresses these risks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise (Country or Region) offices and its managers and staff. Supervise, direct and lead problem solving resolutions amongst various internal and external teams. Work with managers and staff in developing and implementing strategic plans and growth strategies for the region. Conduct routine meetings with each respective department to drive localization efforts necessary for optimal business development in assigned region. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly supervise and is ultimately responsible for workplace safety and compliance with government regulations regarding Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education and/or Experience
o Bachelors’ degree required, MBA preferred.
o Minimum 5 years MLM experience. Experience leading a company or market. Results driven. Strong competitor. Highest level of ethics. A proven communicator, motivator and presentor. P&L Management experience.

• Language Skills
A very good grasp of written and spoken English is essential. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common newspaper articles, documents, financial reports, and legal documents in the dominant language of the Region. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from distributors, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, distributors, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

• Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand and explain compensation and rewards programs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computer functionality; Internet; Company E-mail system; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
