Job Title: Operations Analyst
Department: IT Operations
Reports To: Manager of IT Operations

Summary: 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated professional for the role of Operations Analyst.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Managing problem tickets and service requests
• Responding to monitoring alerts
• Execution of routine preventative maintenance
• Emergency troubleshooting, and incident support
• Performs operating system, firmware, and software release patching
• Supports the enterprise backup infrastructure, performs restores and data management
• Works closely with HW/SW vendor support to escalate and resolve problems quickly
• Provides 7 X 24 on-call support in a rotation with other administrators 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Working knowledge of Windows 2003-2008 Server operating system
• Working knowledge of Avaya phone systems
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Working knowledge of Cisco infrastructure
• Team player with strong analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Organization, Communication and Follow-through skills
• Ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent assignments in a fast paced environment

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a four-year college or university; or 4 years related experience and/or training
Experience with the Oracle database environment a plus
Experience with SAN infrastructure a plus
Experience with Internet routing, Firewall, and Load-Balancing a plus
Knowledge of OS Virtualization and VMWare a plus
Knowledge in Disaster Recovery; Emergency Alternate Site Operations, and High Availability Systems

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job will have no supervisory responsibilities.

Presentation Abilities:

Must have solid presentation abilities. Must be able to prepare, organize, and present viable content to a group of 250+ people. Must have knowledge of Power Point and other presentation systems.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
