D. Gary Young is one of the world’s foremost authorities on essential oils. He has spent nearly three decades traveling the world and researching the remarkable wellness benefits of these precious oils.

Gary’s greatest desire is to help others obtain the life-changing principles of wellness, purpose, abundance, and vitality that Young Living offers. As a doctor of naturopathy, he finds great joy in educating others on how to improve their health and well-being. Gary believes in hands-on leadership and is often found working in his fields at one of the Young Living farms, formulating new products in the laboratory, or leading Young Living distributors on fulfilling, educational adventures throughout the world.

Gary has conducted many studies and authored several books, including Aromatherapy: The Essential Beginning, Longevity Secrets, The Truth Behind Growth Hormone, Discovery of the Ultimate Superfood, and Essential Oils: Integrative Medical Guide. Gary’s most recent book, The One Gift, is a novel filled with action, intrigue, and romance based on historical facts about the frankincense trail. The book and its accompanying documentary have been enthusiastically received all over the world, bringing greater awareness of and interest in the benefits of frankincense and other oils of antiquity.

Gary is a cowboy at heart and finds no greater peace than riding his horse in the mountains and leading his packhorses into the wilderness of northern Idaho, where he grew up. He is most passionate about his sweetheart, Mary, and their two sons, Jacob and Josef.
