Founder and President

D. Gary Young is one of the world’s foremost authorities on essential oils. He has spent the past 25 years travelling throughout Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, Arabia, India, Pakistan, China, Africa, South Africa, and South America, researching the remarkable wellness benefits of these precious oils.

Gary has conducted many studies and authored several books including Aromatherapy: The Essential Beginning, Longevity Secrets, The Truth Behind Growth Hormone, Discovery of the Ultimate Superfood, and Essential Oils: Integrative Medical Guide. Gary’s most recent book, The One Gift, is a fictitious novel filled with action, intrigue, and romance based on historical facts about the frankincense trail. The book and its accompanying documentary were enthusiastically received by distributors all over the world, bringing greater awareness of and interest in the benefits of frankincense oil as well as many oils of antiquity.

Gary’s greatest desire is to help others obtain the life-changing principles of wellness, purpose, and abundance that Young Living offers. As a doctor of naturopathy, he has pursued his true passion for the gifts of nature and finds great joy in educating others on how to improve their health and well-being. Gary believes in hands-on leadership, which is evident as he is often found working in his fields on one of the Young Living farms, formulating new products in the laboratory, or leading Young Living members on fulfilling, educational adventures throughout the world.

Gary is a cowboy at heart and finds no greater peace than riding his horse in the mountains and leading his packhorses into the wilderness of northern Idaho, where he grew up the first 16 years of his life. He is most passionate about his sweetheart, Mary, and their two young sons, Jacob and Josef.
